The National Agency for Employment and Independent Work (ANETI) organized a seminar on Friday in Tunis on "ANETI's international service offer".
This seminar is part of the "TEAM" project, funded by the European Union (EU), which aims to improve public employment services in the "TEAM" countries (Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco and Mauritania) and strengthen ANETI's capacity to manage legal migration flows for work.
In this context, Hafedh Laamouri, Minister of Vocational Training and Employment, highlighted the "low rate of organized migration", calling for "the implementation of a coherent and integrated migration policy with the country's employment and development policy". Laamouri specified that a Tunisian employment office was set up in Qatar in July 2014. This country, he said, had expressed its commitment to creating 35,000 job opportunities for Tunisian skills.
"We have set up another office in Libya, currently closed due to security instability, and we plan to create two more offices soon in Saudi Arabia and Canada," he added.
Recalling that the unemployment rate in Tunisia is 15.2%, the Minister called for the need to "change the development model and open up to foreign employment markets to address unemployment".
As part of the "TEAM" program, a website "www.aneti-emploi-international.tn" has been created. It will be operational from October 2014. This is an international platform bringing together job seekers and international employers.
The employer will be able to search for CVs according to specific criteria, and the job seeker will be able to upload their CV to the site and consult international job offers.
Note that 100 employment offices under ANETI are equipped with internet. Job seekers registered in these offices have self-service access and can consult the site from these offices. Assistance will be provided to job seekers to ensure efficient consultation of the site.
