Canada helps Morocco with youth employment.

Morocco has implemented a youth employment assistance program thanks to funding from the Canadian Development Agency.

Nearly twenty thousand young unemployed Moroccans will have the chance of a better future, thanks to a four-year project sponsored by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Until 2016, the "Youth at Work" project will help to "promote the integration of young people into the Moroccan job market, through salaried employment, entrepreneurship and business creation, while explaining financial services to them", explained Youssra Hamed, one of the ILO officials in Casablanca on Thursday, November 22.

"This program is different from similar programs", explained Aziz Benmoulan, a professor of public finance, because it emphasizes financial education for young unemployed people in Morocco. Funded by the Canadian Development Agency, this project will help young Moroccan participants gain management knowledge and better understand the real workings of the business world.
