Coaching: A Path to Growth and Development During Turbulent Times

Casablanca, June 29, 2010 – The 3rd Coaching Conference took place on June 24, 2010, at the Petroleum Club in Casablanca from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

This event, organized by the Moroccan Coaches Association, Maroc Coaching, included presentations by Mr. Hassan Benmoussa – Secretary General of the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Ms. Sylviane Cannio – Vice President of the ICF Board: International Coach Federation and co-author of the book "Commented Coaching Cases", Ms. Houria Nadifi, Head of the Communication and Information Division of ANPME, and numerous company CEOs who shared their experiences with coaching, both individually and within their companies.

More than 100 participants, including senior executives, managers, senior officials, association leaders, professionals, and supporters of coaching and mentoring from Morocco and abroad, attended the event. The discussions were of high quality.

Two round tables and six workshops enlivened the day of June 24. Topics included professional opinions on coaching and turbulence, public speaking, supporting an executive committee, coaching and games, choosing a coach, coach supervision… the day concluded with an excellent exchange on coaching in Morocco.

The day also featured a lively musical group, a management and coaching book fair, and a photo exhibition. The 3rd conference was also marked by the presence of the print and radio media, notably Radio Atlantic and Radio Aswat. Several interviews were conducted on site with some key figures in coaching who presented various topics during the day. A report of the day will be published in the September edition of Essor magazine, in its Coaching section.

The day of June 24 also saw the launch of the first directory of Moroccan coaches. The directory is available from the Maroc Coaching delegate for a symbolic price of 150 DH.

Since its founding in 2004, Maroc Coaching, a non-profit professional association, has worked tirelessly to promote coaching in Morocco. It organizes numerous conferences and workshops each year, publishes articles and other writings on coaching, contributes to a better community life at the societal level, and provides its members and the general public with its website.
