Startup Sponsorship Aims to Support Job Creation

Mohamed Bridaa (Managing Director of Microsoft Tunisia)

It's official! The new Managing Director of Microsoft Tunisia, Mohamed Bridaa, announced it this morning at the Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC). The annual Startup Sponsorship program, 2011-2012 version, has just been launched for ten candidates. They can apply directly by email to: mictn@microsoft.com, simply mentioning "Startup Sponsorship" and describing their project before the 24th of this month. The program is scheduled to begin next December.

The launch of this program, created in 2007, was given by Mohamed Bridaa in the presence of Gordon Gray, US Ambassador to Tunisia, local media, and representatives of Microsoft's partners on this project (almost all, as the representative of Tunisie Telecom was absent).

Opening the discussion, the director of Microsoft Tunisia stated: "The MIC is above all a platform for all local stakeholders, open to various technologies that promote innovation and access to the latest advances in the ICT sector. The goal of this program is to support job creation and the promotion of the digital economy, particularly in Cloud Computing."
