• After 8 years, job boards remain the most effective tools.
• 83 people recruited daily on our pages by our advertiser clients in 2013.
• Social networks only fill 2% of job vacancies.
Casablanca, February 14, 2014- ReKrute.com, the leader in e-recruitment in Morocco, celebrates its 8th anniversary. This is an opportunity to review its activity and draw up a more than positive 2013 balance sheet. Indeed, the analysis of paid advertisements on the Moroccan market reveals that more than 10,500 job advertisements were published in 2013. ReKrute.com leads the way with more than 5,670 positions offered on its platform, a 70% market share in value, and above all 83 people recruited every day on its pages*.
ReKrute.com's 8 years have been an opportunity to conduct a complete study on the role of job boards after almost a decade. The main finding is that web recruitment, the solution par excellence, is still far ahead of social networks and other recruitment solutions.
All indicators confirm, both in Morocco and abroad, that the future is still bright for job boards. According to a study conducted by the Hassan II Faculty of Legal, Economic and Management Sciences, with a representative sample of 210 candidates, the internet is cited in 95% of cases among the tools used by job seekers, who have completely integrated job boards into their daily search. It is indeed the most relevant search method for 86.2% of them, according to the same study. This is followed by recruitment agencies with 33%, spontaneous applications and company HR websites with 32%. Social networks come last with 27% (only 15% of social network members use them for employment).
Even in Europe, the revolution of online recruitment through social networks is not yet here! According to a study conducted by StepStone in March 2013 in 7 European countries, and published last December, social networks only fill 2% of vacancies, compared to 24% for internal sources and 21% for job sites. Only 24% of employers are satisfied with the number of applications received after posting their job offers there. And according to the StepStone survey, only 10% of job seekers who apply via social networks are actually hired, with 44% indicating they have never been contacted for a job.
However, it appears that social networks are now an essential tool for working on your employer image: 45% of companies already do so.
ReKrute.com confirms its clear market leadership
ReKrute.com's main focus remains undoubtedly innovation, putting technology at the service of human capital development. As proof, ReKrute.com has taken a lead and has already integrated social networks into its offer to guarantee its partners unparalleled reach for their advertisements in Morocco, but also the means to communicate effectively with network members.
