Textiles Remain the Largest Industrial Employer

Textiles and clothing (TH) remain the largest employer in Tunisia's industrial sector, with 34.2% of all industrial jobs, or 508,783 jobs, according to recent statistics from the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).
Indeed, the number of companies operating in the TH industries amounts to 1823 units out of a total of 5688 industrial companies in Tunisia, employing a workforce of 10 or more.
2624 of these companies are entirely export-oriented, while the number of 100% Tunisian companies operating in the industrial sector, with a workforce of 10 or more, amounts to 3855 companies.
