Leoni opens a new factory in Morocco, creating 1800 jobs.

Already present in Morocco with four factories, the German wiring specialist Leoni Wiring Systems has just opened a new unit about thirty kilometers from Casablanca. This will create 1800 jobs.

Opened last week in Berrechid in the presence of the Moroccan Minister of Industry Moulay Hafid Elalamy, this new factory covers 12,000 m² and required 7.5 million euros of investment from the German group.

Before the end of the year, Leoni, which supplies the American manufacturer General Motors, will employ 1800 people and expects to achieve a turnover of more than 30 million euros with this new factory.

The wiring specialist, established in Morocco since 1971, employs more than 6000 employees at several sites in Greater Casablanca (Casablanca, Bouskoura and Berrechid). Last year it achieved a turnover of 200 million euros.
