Conditions for Receiving Aid from the New Job Search Program

Abir Hachani, communications advisor at the Ministry of Professional Training and Employment, revealed on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, on ShemsFM radio the conditions for receiving aid under the new job search program that will replace the Amal program launched in 2011.

She also specified that the program is still in the project phase, and that job seekers can only benefit from it for one non-renewable year. To be eligible for the job search program bonus, you must:

-Be at least 28 years old
-Be registered with a job center for at least one year
-Hold a higher education diploma. Excluded are holders of diplomas in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, civil engineering, and engineering (except agronomists) because the job market is considered sufficient.

According to Abir Hachani, the Ministry of Employment and employment agencies will now be responsible for additional training and internships for program beneficiaries. Job seekers will be able to create projects, as long as they serve the "public interest," and the state can finance them up to 10% of the total cost, which must not exceed 5000 dinars.

The 250 dinar bonus provided by the old Amal program has been reduced to 200 dinars for the first six months, and 150 dinars for the following six months. Job seekers previously registered in other programs will receive 150 dinars during the first semester, and 100 dinars during the second semester.
Abir Hachani indicated, at the end of her intervention, that if the job seeker obtains a job contract in a private company, they will receive a bonus of 600 dinars twice, provided they prove their employment with three payslips.
