Maghreb Pharmacists' Associations: First Union Conference in Tunis

The Union of the Pharmacists' Associations of the Arab Maghreb will hold its first conference in Tunis on February 6 and 7, under the theme "Medical Culture and Continuing Education".
Many experts in pharmacy from the Maghreb and Europe, as well as representatives from professional organizations in the sector, will participate in these meetings, a press release from the General Secretariat of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA) announced on Thursday.
The program of the meeting, organized by the National Council of the Pharmacists' Association of Tunisia and the Union of Pharmacists' Associations of the Arab Maghreb, includes conferences and a roundtable to discuss topics related to the training of pharmacist biologists, the evolution of pharmaceutical professions, and education in the medical field.
The meeting will conclude with the adoption of several recommendations on the future of the pharmaceutical sector in the Maghreb countries.
Tunisia holds the presidency of the Union of Pharmacists' Associations of the Arab Maghreb until 2011. The Union held its last general assembly last May in Algiers. The Union's members include professional organizations involved in the pharmaceutical sector in the Maghreb region.
