AMEIGR Organizes its 8th "Rural Engineering - Businesses" Forum
The growth of natural and technological risks is a worrying global phenomenon, resulting mainly from industrialization and the increase in the density of occupation of at-risk areas, subject to hazards or dangerous events. Risks therefore pose a global challenge for the future and are one of the major problems of sustainable development.

The Moroccan Association of Rural Engineering Student Engineers (AMEIGR) is organizing its 8th edition of the "Rural Engineering - Businesses" Forum on February 16, 2008, under the theme:
This theme was chosen following the natural and technological disasters that Morocco has experienced in recent years (floods, droughts, earthquakes, pollution…) with serious economic, social, and environmental consequences.
In addition, improving risk management is considered among the actions defined for better environmental protection, human health, and sustainable development.
Therefore, the objectives of the Forum's day's conferences are to discuss, among various national and international actors, the measures taken in terms of preventing natural and technological disasters and mitigating their harmful impacts on the environment, socio-economic sectors, and human health; and to have a general idea of the national strategy for preventing and managing these risks.
Consequently, this day will be, on the one hand, a discussion platform on the proposed theme and, on the other hand, an opportunity for the Rural Engineering engineer to integrate where they can fully play their role as an actor in sustainable development.
