Etudiant 221 is a Senegalese association founded on February 1, 2013. Its goal is to help Senegalese students in Senegal and France. This association was created to inform, guide, and support students from their first to their final year of study.
Since its creation, Etudiant 221 has held an important place within the Senegalese student community. It allows students to be guided throughout their university studies, so they can consider study abroad and a return to Senegal to begin professional life under the best conditions.
Structure built around two axes
It operates around two axes: study abroad and return prospects. Regarding study abroad, the work is mainly done upstream. Work is also done with high school students who plan to continue their studies in Senegalese or French universities. With regard to return prospects, the association helps students realize their professional projects in Senegal. To do this, the association members organize project competitions, welcome and integration days on various themes.
This structure is built around three areas: communications, external relations, and finance. Each area is headed by a president assisted by an administrative secretary and assistants.
Support from Senegalese officials
Etudiant 221 has met with Senegalese officials such as the Senegalese ambassador to France, the Senegalese Consul General in Paris, the Minister of Promotion and Investment and Partnerships.... They expressed their support and praised the initiative of Etudiant 221.
Currently, the association members are creating local branches in all major university towns in Europe and the United States. A local branch has been created in Ile de France in Cergy le Haut.
On October 25, Etudiant 221 is organizing a welcome and integration day in Paris.
