Socio-professional Integration of Intellectually Disabled Individuals

"Socio-professional integration of intellectually disabled individuals" is the theme of an international congress to be held from December 3-5 in Salé by the Mohammed VI National Center for Disabled Persons.
Organized in partnership with the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Moroccan delegation of the International Association for Scientific Research in Favor of Mentally Handicapped Persons (AIRHM), this congress aims to highlight opportunities for socio-professional integration of mentally handicapped persons.
This meeting, organized on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons, is intended to be a platform for debate and exchange to promote the integration of these persons into society, by associating a common reflection of specialists from the economic and social sectors and decision-makers from the public sector.
It also aims to take stock of the real situation regarding the training and employment of persons with mental disabilities, to allow participants to learn and exchange on the issue, to encourage the analysis of needs and challenges, to stimulate the establishment of partnerships and the formulation of solutions in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and in terms of socio-professional integration of persons with mental disabilities.
Several themes are on the agenda of this 3-day congress, namely "Professional training of persons with intellectual disabilities: practice and experience", "Approaches to the professional integration of persons with mental disabilities: observations and avenues for work", "ICT, a new asset for persons with intellectual disabilities", and "Legislation on equal opportunities in the field of employment".
This event will see the participation of approximately 150 experts and professionals in the field, including 50 representatives from various European and Arab countries.
