The French Institute of Tunisia launches a 2012 call for projects totaling 400,000 DT.

The French Institute of Tunisia is launching a 2012 call for projects totaling 400,000 Tunisian dinars (206,000 euros) in the sectors of culture (performing arts, classical and contemporary music, visual and plastic arts, photography, cinema, design, architecture, cultural heritage), publishing, and Francophonie. It aims to support projects submitted by operators for the organization of events or programs in these three areas in Tunisia (festivals, masterclasses or training actions, performances or one-off events, exhibitions, touring cultural projects, assistance in creating structures for a project, publishing, writing competitions and workshops, operations around books and reading, Francophone school or amateur theatre...).

This call aims to support and accompany these operators in implementing actions contributing to:

• the professionalization of Tunisian operators;

• support for cultural life and the promotion of Francophonie, particularly in the regions of Tunisia;

• the structuring or sustainability of networks, the development of new partnerships between Tunisia and France, including from a Euro-Mediterranean perspective;

• or support for young Tunisian creation.

It should be recalled that this call takes place in two campaigns:

• submission of projects by January 31, 2012, for a result on February 29, 2012;

• submission of projects by May 1, 2012, for a result on June 1, 2012.
