Morocco's macroeconomic management was cited as an example in Amman, Jordan. Indeed, Mohammed Boussaid, Minister of Economy and Finance, participated in a high-level conference in Amman on May 11 and 12, 2014. This conference was organized under the patronage of the Jordanian Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, the Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Abdlatif Al Hamad, and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde.

Held under the theme "Building the Future: Employment, Growth and Equity in the Arab World," this conference was an opportunity for Morocco to participate in regional dialogue. The Amman conference allowed Mr. Boussaid to present Morocco's exemplary experience in macroeconomic management and structural economic reforms for sustainable, inclusive, and more job-creating growth.

In this regard, he highlighted the bold reforms recently launched by Morocco to consolidate the stability of the macroeconomic framework, namely the reform of the compensation system, the overhaul of the organic law of finance, and the modernization of the tax system.

Also, the minister highlighted the progress made by Morocco in boosting private investment through sustained improvement of the business environment and reform of the financial sector, as well as in promoting youth employment and fighting poverty.
