It is a known trend, but the figures were not yet available to demonstrate it. Today, thanks to statistics released by Euromonitor International, an international firm specializing in sectoral economic analysis, the reconfiguration of the consumer technology sector, in Morocco and elsewhere, is no longer a secret. It is now clearly established that the demand for tablets and smartphones has increased significantly in recent years and will continue to do so, at least until 2017. In 2010, the market for tablets and laptops weighed "only" 52.9 MDH, with 10,200 tablets sold on the Moroccan market. In 2012, turnover reached approximately 370 MDH and the number of tablets sold reached 79,700.
