The creation of a Moroccan brand club was announced at the awards ceremony in Mohammedia.Mohammedia hosted a major event dedicated to promoting brand culture.
Morocco Awards 2011 showcased past successes, highlighting actions that have increased the number of brands. In 2010, Morocco supported around 6000 brands, and continues to promote their development. Brands are seen as valuable assets, boosting company and product credibility. Leadership, innovation and social responsibility build consumer trust. A meeting of partners and Morocco Awards winners finalized plans for a Moroccan brand club. Participants stressed the club's importance, including its goals: consistent communication around the Morocco Awards, fostering brand awareness, and collectively engaging consumers. The club will maintain year-round consumer contact and implement various communication strategies (TV, radio, press, advertising, etc.) to highlight brand quality and safety, alongside anti-counterfeiting awareness campaigns. Future plans include supporting emerging brands and collaborating with both Moroccan and international brands operating in Morocco.
The 3rd Morocco Awards ceremony saw five trophies awarded in the presence of numerous dignitaries, including the Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies. The jury used multiple criteria to select winners. Soltane received the "Morocco Awards 2011" Manufacturing Brand trophy; Afriquia won the Commerce and Distribution Brand trophy; and Atlas Voyages won the Service Brand trophy.
Rekrute.com received the Emerging Brand award. The Public Prize, based on quality, price and brand recognition (from a 1200-person survey), went to Koutoubia. Two new awards were introduced: the Local Brand award, won by Aït-Manos; and the Moroccan Brand with International Growth award, which went to Dari.
