The 2nd edition of the USA-Maghreb Conference on Entrepreneurship opened Tuesday in Marrakech with some 400 speakers active in joint business projects and programs.
Under the theme "Maghreb Entrepreneurship," the USA-Maghreb Conference on Entrepreneurship, which opened Tuesday in Marrakech, provided an opportunity for entrepreneurs from Maghreb countries and their American counterparts to exchange ideas, build partnerships and cooperation, and especially explore ways to create new jobs.
This meeting aims to create business projects and partnerships between the USA and the Maghreb, to improve cross-border trade between Maghreb countries, and to encourage the sharing of ideas and experiences in sectors related to entrepreneurship, in order to promote development in the region.
Organized by "Partners for a New Beginning's" (PNB) of the North Africa Partnership for Economic Opportunities (NAPEO), this two-day conference will also examine methods of financing emerging businesses, with a particular interest in facilitating the sponsorship of projects led by young entrepreneurs and large companies.
The PNB-NAPEO program covers entrepreneurship, education and exchange, science, technology, arts and culture. It aims to reach 100,000 people in Maghreb countries over five years.
The goal of PNB-NAPEO is to be a network of entrepreneurs and business leaders from the USA and North Africa and a catalyst for both communities to identify, initiate, and sustain projects that promote entrepreneurship and job creation, mainly for young people at the regional and local levels.
It also aims to stimulate partners from the business world, universities, and public organizations in the Maghreb and the USA.
