What timeline for your resume?

The reverse chronological resume is the exact opposite of the previous one. The most recent information is at the top of the list. This type of resume comes directly from Anglo-Saxon countries. It is actually the most logical way to proceed, since the recruiter is probably more interested in your recent experiences.
1- Advantages of the reverse chronological resume:
- Clear and easy to read,
- Gives a good overview of your professional evolution,
- Ideal if your previous experience matches the future job well,
- It is the traditional way to proceed and is a good starting point for an interview.
Gaps (a repeat year for example) are very noticeable
Rapid and successive changes of employers are highlighted.
3- Contact information:
Start by indicating your personal information: your name, address, telephone number and/or mobile number, email address, date of birth, nationality, marital status, etc.
4- Education:
Then describe your education. If you have opted for a reverse chronological resume, start with your most recent education. Distinguish between training and courses. Only mention what is relevant to the position you are applying for. Mention the period during which you followed a training course and the diploma obtained. Beginners can also mention courses that are not directly related to the position they are applying for. In this way, it shows that he is an active person.
5- Work experience:
Then take stock of your professional experience. Start with the most recent job. Mention the company name and the period of employment, as well as the exact title of your position and a description of the main tasks and responsibilities. Try to use the same terms as those used in the job offer.
Beginners have little or no experience. They can therefore emphasize a holiday job or a relevant internship. If possible, describe the tasks and responsibilities undertaken. Try to clearly describe what this experience has brought you.
Your only objective must be to retain the recruiter's attention. So be both concise and concrete.
6- Hobbies:
This section is not mandatory. The information you put there must be relevant. The hobbies you mention on your resume give it a personal touch. Many employers will get an overall idea of your personality based on this information. Remember this when completing this section.
7-Language skills:
Try to make your knowledge as concrete as possible. Avoid overly vague qualifications. Make a clear distinction between written and oral proficiency in the language. It is possible that during your job interview, you will be asked questions in another language.
8-Computer skills:
Once again, the information you give here must be relevant. Be as concrete as possible and avoid overly vague descriptions.
9-References:
Only provide references if the employer explicitly requests them. Don't forget to warn the person(s) mentioned so that they are not surprised if the employer contacts them.
If you choose to provide references, mention their name, company, telephone number and the nature of your relationship.
Always keep a few names in mind, even if you don't list them on your resume. It is possible that the employer will ask you for references during the job interview.
