Regain your self-confidence in 5 steps

Do you feel like you are spinning your wheels, that you won't be able to reach your goals, that you are no longer supported by your superiors and colleagues, or even alone to face challenges? Are you no longer sure of your skills and their suitability for the position you hold? Don't give up and take action...
1. Let go without guilt.
Start by not blaming yourself for your doubts and slowdown. It's perfectly normal not to always be at the top, hyperactive and invincible. Allow yourself to make mistakes, to hesitate, to experience a temporary setback, which will dissipate on its own with action. "I doubt, therefore I am"... Consider that these moments of slight and temporary darkness are also there to allow you to redefine your professional and personal contours, as well as your expectations, and to relaunch yourself a little stronger, a little further.
2. Define the contours of the malaise.
However, it is necessary to identify the professional problem by questioning the breakdown: is the doubt related to your skills, your activity, your colleagues, your manager, your company? Where does the decline in your well-being begin? Are you sure you are not mixing a professional reason and a personal discomfort here...? Dare to look within yourself without filters, start to untangle the knots and find the thread that will allow you to find your way back to the simple light of everyday life and action.
3. Talk about it.
Don't isolate yourself. On the contrary, be wise enough to surround yourself with honest and competent people (former and appreciated colleague, boss, coach, etc.), who have perspective, and who will help you express yourself in order to free yourself from what weighs you down, slows you down and prevents you from taking off serenely.
4. Relativize
Stop trying to achieve the impossible at all costs and chasing perfection. Know how to distinguish between what you can actually accomplish and what does not depend on your direct talents, which you will naturally have to give up, without blaming yourself, without bitterness, and without misplaced guilt. You are not bound to the impossible. Remain realistic, pragmatic and do not operate with constant self-criticism. Philosophically accept the limits of the functioning and your own, if any. Your self-confidence should not, in any case, rely on your immediate successes in your position. Talent is broader than that. To relativize is also to put things back in their place and to understand that this project was not feasible in 3 months as requested, but rather in 12.
5. Learn to self-congratulate and be satisfied.
If your direct and indirect superiors are not able to give you, when necessary, proper recognition, have the intelligence to give it to yourself! Have the grace and finesse to grant yourself and recognize your merits, to become aware of your regular and spontaneous strengths and assets, those very ones that need to be capitalized on in order to regain confidence and power. To identify them, delve into your professional career, where your successes and aptitudes lie; identify similar situations where you have succeeded brilliantly. To resolve your current hesitations, by bouncing back on your previous successes, find your positive emotional state, the source of all creativity.
