Job offers increased by 30% in the governorate of Sousse, reaching 5,474 in 2012 compared to 4,205 in 2011, the regional director of vocational training and employment, Madhioub Bouokazine, told the TAP correspondent in the region.
Mr. Bouokazine specifies that this increase is due to the growth in recruitment operations in certain sectors of activity, namely construction and public works, which contributed to the creation of several jobs in 2012 (317%) in addition to the trade sector (34%).
Employment of university graduates in 2012 increased by 47% compared to 2011 through direct recruitment or integration into the construction and public works sectors (286%), manufacturing industries (74%), textiles and clothing (50%) and trade (37%).
According to the statistics of the Directorate of Vocational Training and Employment, the governorate of Sousse recorded a significant increase in job offers in 2012, of 18% compared to the previous year (13,633 compared to 11,571). Conversely, job offers experienced a 24% decrease at the end of December 2012 compared to 2011 (10,893 compared to 14,210).
