SunGard establishes in Tunisia and creates 500 jobs

Text: The global leader in financial and economic products and services, SunGard, inaugurated its new headquarters, called "SunGard Solutions Center", on Thursday, April 21, 2011, in the El Ghazela technology park.
For this company, it is a matter of consolidating its presence in Tunisia by opening the third center of its kind in the world.
On this occasion, Mr. Yassine Ibrahim, Minister of Equipment and Transport, specified the importance of the presence of such companies in post-Revolution Tunisia.
"Investing in Tunisia is necessary to revive the national economy and promote employment, particularly in areas related to technology and financial technology products and services. SunGard has confidence in Tunisia and its human skills," declared the Secretary of State in charge of technology, Mr. Adel Gaâloul.
For his part, Mr. Mack Gill, executive president of SunGard global technology, indicated that Tunisia is becoming a very important hub for global technological service solutions.
Note that this new center is a public-private co-investment of around 9 million dinars, covering an area of 4500 m², with a model meeting the strictest requirements in terms of energy efficiency. It employs 500 people.
