Minister Rachid Talbi El Alami will officially open Telecomp Morocco 2006

Nokia, ZTE, and Huawei are sponsoring Telecomp Morocco 2006 – The very first showcase of the liberalized Moroccan telecommunications market.

Scheduled for April 4-7, 2006 (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM) at the Casablanca International Fair, the 5th International Trade Show for Telecommunications, Networks, Information Technologies, and Broadcasting, Telecomp Morocco 2006, will once again be a major event for the Economic and General Affairs sector – Department of Post, Telecommunications, and Information Technologies.

With the expected participation of over 7000 professional visitors and several thousand consumers, Telecomp Morocco 2006 will be the best platform for business and exchanges, addressing all major players in the sector. Market leaders such as AEBDM, Alcatel, Cimelect, Ericsson, Eutelsat, FBR Morocco, Huawei, IPM Group, Meditel, Mega Hissoto, Megatel, Micro Distribution, Nera Networks, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Thomson, Cirpack, U3 Com, Ultranet, and ZTE will all be present.

H.E. the Minister, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami, will officially open Telecomp Morocco 2006 on April 4, 2006, at the Casablanca International Fair. The Minister will also deliver the main welcome address at the "e-Morocco 2010 Strategy" conference.

It has been agreed that a two-day conference for senior executives, examining the "e-Morocco 2010 Strategy" with particular attention paid to the evolution of broadband technology, challenges, services, and applications, will accompany the Telecomp Morocco 2006 trade show. The event is organized by the Ministry of Economic and General Affairs, fairtrade Germany, and forum 7, their Moroccan partner.

Telecomp Morocco 2006 will be the showcase through which the liberalized Moroccan telecommunications market can be discovered for the very first time.
