Tunisia: 2754.2 MD in declared investments and 53194 jobs created by the end of September 2012.

Declared investments in the industrial sector reached 112.5 million dinars in September 2012, compared to 261.3 MD during the same period in 2011, thus recording a decrease of 57%.

The number of declared projects decreased from 346 to 283, a decrease of 18.2%. These projects will create 4416 jobs, compared to 6880 jobs in September 2011, a decrease of 35.8%.

However, for the first 9 months, the figures seem more or less reassuring and tend to increase. Indeed, during this period, declared investments reached 2754.2 MD, compared to 2398.1 MD during the first nine months of 2011, thus recording an increase of 14.8%.

The number of declared projects reached 3032, an increase of 4.7% compared to 2011. These projects will create 53194 jobs, compared to 62242 jobs during the first nine months of 2011, a decrease of 14.5%.
