Sixty-one thousand jobs, out of a planned 100,000 for 2012, were created until last June.
This was announced Monday, October 8, by the Minister of Professional Training and Employment, Abdelwaheb Maatar, who presented the results of urgent reforms to the employment sector.
The minister was participating in an Arab conference in Tunis on the theme "Developing and evaluating employment policies in Arab States: Challenges and perspectives."
A national employment strategy is expected by the end of 2012, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the revolution.
"This is a roadmap for the implementation of a new development model that makes employment a major objective," said the minister.
He called on the participants in this conference to reflect on new mechanisms and policies to ensure the implementation of this development model and its generalization throughout the Arab region.
