Carrefour Group's CEO, Nabil Chaibi, expects the commercial project under development in Gabès to begin operations in October 2013, especially since the construction progress has reached 65%.
During a presentation at the commercial complex construction site on Thursday, the governor of Gabès, Houssine Jrad, indicated that this project will create approximately 500 permanent jobs.
The complex includes a large shopping mall of approximately 1500 square meters over two floors, as well as 30 shops, a bank branch, restaurants, and a 150-space parking lot. The commercial complex, with a total cost of approximately 25 million dinars, is the second largest in the Carrefour group.
