The Ministry of Employment announced the creation, at the beginning of 2013, of regional employment offices involving structures concerned by this issue as well as representatives of civil society.
These regional councils will have sovereign status in matters of employment in their respective regions, affirmed the Minister of Vocational Training and Employment, Abdelwaheb Maatar, while receiving a delegation from the Regional Employment Union of Siliana (Tuesday, December 18).
The Ministry of Employment also pledged to intervene in 15 stalled projects in the Siliana region requiring the intervention of the Tunisian Solidarity Bank.
"Funding for any project will be granted based on a feasibility study, efficiency and employability potential, and not on allegiance to any party whatsoever."
Mr. Maatar also affirmed that his department does not intervene in competitions organized by other ministries.
