Tunisia: Increase in project investment

Investments in projects costing more than 5 MD increased by 1.5%, rising from 1991.2 MD in 2012 to 2021.6 MD in 2013, according to the latest API figures.
The number of these projects increased from 115 to 126 in 2013, a rise of 9.6%. They will create 12,872 jobs, compared to 11,848 in 2012, an increase of 8.6%.
It should be noted that projects of 5 MD and more, representing only 3.2% of the number of declared projects and 16.8% of the number of jobs, account for 58.2% of total declared investment.
Among the 126 projects (I>5 MD) declared during 2013, fifteen projects totaled an investment amount of 1042.3 MD, or 51.6% of the total investment (I>5 MD).
