Tunisia: Unemployment benefits ready, awaiting government approval

Sources at the Ministry of Employment state that the unemployment benefit payment (formerly Amal allowance) is ready and only awaits the publication of the regulatory text by the government. Once this happens, payments will be made without delay.

The same sources, cited by Radio Bledi, add that the allowance will benefit the core group of unemployed, namely higher education graduates in multidisciplinary fields, numbering 110,000. These individuals must meet several conditions, including being over 28 years old, having obtained their diplomas at least two years ago, and being regularly registered with the employment office for 3 months.
