The 19th annual forum of the Association of Tunisian Graduates from Grandes Ecoles (ATUGE) will take place in Tunis on June 30th, a month after the Paris session (May 30th, 2010). This year's theme is "Education and Employability: How do we prepare for the challenges of tomorrow?" The press release indicates that the ATUGE 2010 Forum is sponsored by Tunisiana, and that Walid KALBOUSSI has been appointed as the general commissioner.
Participants will discuss, among other things, the following questions: What are the challenges facing the new directions in education and their consequences on the employability of new graduates? What role does the education system play in Tunisia's attractiveness? What educational system should be developed to train the citizens of tomorrow? What is the place of teachers in the new social order? What approach should be developed to bring the world of education closer to the world of business? These are some of the questions that will be debated throughout the day.
As in previous editions, the ATUGE 2010 Forum will attract visitors from all walks of life: experienced managers wishing to share their experiences, young active managers seeking new career opportunities, and students from French engineering and business schools seeking professional projects in Tunisia.
In terms of organization, two meeting spaces are planned:
1. A Business space, with more than 30 stands where companies representing the banking, services, ICT, consulting and industrial sectors will be able to meet their future collaborators.
2. A Networking space, allowing visitors to meet in a private area, and to exchange feedback, contacts and business opportunities.
Regarding the conferences, the Association indicates that they will be led by Tunisian and international specialists, to develop reflection on aspects related to the evolution of the educational institution in Tunisia, on the skills to be promoted to meet the challenges of employability, and on the orientations to be implemented so that the education and higher education system best meets the training needs of Tunisia's citizens and future managers.
Given the topical nature of the issue, several Tunisian companies or companies based in Tunisia will take part in this forum, including Tunisiana, Orange, Attijari Bank, Poulina Group, UBCI, Magasin Général, STEG, Tunisie Telecom, Oxia, Alcatel Lucent, Delice Danone, Ernst&Young, Zitouna Bank, BIAT, Telnet, Groupe Studi, BFPME, Henkel...
