Tunisia: The American economy created 14,000 jobs

Compared to other nationalities, the number of American companies in Tunisia remains low. Out of a total of 3200 foreign companies, 70 American companies are located in Tunisia. This was stated by Amel Bouchamaoui, president of the Tunisian-American Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking Monday evening, March 2nd on Express FM, Ms. Bouchamaoui specified that despite their small presence, American companies have created 14,000 jobs. "We plan to attract more American investors and double the number of American companies in Tunisia in order to improve the level of investment and promote the national economy," she specified.
Regarding the conference on investment and entrepreneurship to be held on March 5th in Tunis, Ms. Bouchamaoui indicated that this initiative will highlight Tunisia's potential as a market for international business, promote dialogue on Tunisia's economic reform programs, and offer excellent networking opportunities for entrepreneurs and business leaders in North Africa.
