Tunisia: Major Employers Promise 7850 Jobs by 2013

The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training held a press conference on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, to announce the signing of 7 new agreements with private Tunisian and international companies.
During the conference, the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Saïd Aïdi, reviewed the achievements of the transitional government in the field of employment before proceeding to the signing of the agreements, which will create 7850 jobs by 2013.
The first agreement, signed with Kromberg & Schubert, will create 2910 jobs by 2013.
The second agreement, signed with Cofat, will offer 1000 jobs during the same period.
The third agreement was signed with Zodiac Aerospace Tunisia. Under this agreement, the company is committed to recruiting 1176 employees.
The four other agreements, signed with Demat, Pireco, Top Service, and Sotip, will create a total of 269 jobs by 2013.
These 7 new agreements come in addition to three older ones, signed a few weeks ago with Poulina, CTMCCV, and Dytech. They will create 2105, 190, and 200 jobs respectively.
