A Turkish investment group has chosen the city of Sidi Bouzid to launch a project transforming agricultural products.
In its first phase, the project will provide around 3,000 jobs. It could reach 9,000 jobs in later phases.
The region was chosen because of its rich natural and human resources. Sidi Bouzid also holds a key position in vegetable production, particularly tomatoes and potatoes.
On Thursday, November 24, 2011, a Turkish delegation visited the city to monitor the project's implementation.
