Tunisia – Manouba: 26 projects for 160 jobs

The number of projects declared in the industrial and service sectors in the Manouba governorate reached 26 projects worth 3.18 million dinars by June.
According to the monthly report of the office of the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) in Manouba, these projects will create nearly 160 jobs.
The number of projects declared in the industrial sector decreased by 53.8% compared to the same period in 2012.
Similarly, the number of jobs to be created decreased by 84.53% and the volume of investment by 69.33%. Declared projects in the service sector also fell by 9.09%, the number of jobs to be created by 24.34%, and the investment volume by 68.47%.
The number of projects declared in the industrial and service sectors in Manouba during the first half of the year reached 146 projects, expected to generate 1554 jobs with investments of 30.8 million dinars. The Textile-Clothing (TH) sector accounts for 45% of the industrial fabric of the Manouba governorate, followed by agri-food industries (17%) and mechanical industries (9%).
