Tunisia: Mohamed Bichiou appointed new CEO of Al-Karama Holding

The Tunisian government announced Wednesday, in a press release, the appointment of Mohamed Bichiou as the new CEO of Al-Karama Holding group.
Bichiou spent most of his career at the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), before holding the position of CEO of the Stock Exchange until his new appointment. He succeeds Mohamed Ali Chekir.
Formerly known as Princesse El-Matri Holding, Al-Karama Holding group is currently responsible for managing confiscated businesses.
Founded in 2004 by the fugitive Tunisian businessman Sakher El-Matri, Al-Karama Holding group consisted of about twenty companies operating in various sectors such as automotive, real estate, tourism and finance.
