According to a source close to the Ministry of Professional Training and Employment, the agreement between ANETI and CIFODECOM regarding the program for certifying ICT skills for recruitment by Tunisian IT services companies will be signed in the coming days. All local Tunisian IT services companies or those operating offshore are among the main beneficiaries of this agreement.
This new agreement adds to the existing one, which covers 50% of certification costs through the state budget. The skills certification program covers Microsoft, Linux, Catia, Oracle, and Java technologies.
The government hopes this will boost job creation in the ICT sector, attract foreign investors seeking certified skills, and further develop Tunisian service exports.
In any case, some specialists say that ICT is one of the few service sectors in Tunisia that has not experienced a major crisis or recession and continues to employ and recruit. The most sought-after target is ICT engineers, especially those with at least one technology certification.
In short, the true and lasting promotion of employment in Tunisia will only be achieved through high-quality training in information and communication technologies.
To those who understand, greetings!
