Following a needs analysis by Tunisian companies, the Goethe-Institut offers engineers, masters in management and finance, logistics, and specialists in mechanics, electronics, and industrial IT the opportunity to learn German up to level B1 in an intensive 6-month course to improve their job prospects.

This is the "German Language, Gateway to Employment" project, initiated by the Goethe-Institut in close collaboration with the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, AHK. This project aims to optimize the chances of qualified job seekers to find a position.
Eligible candidates are graduates of the aforementioned specializations whose diplomas were obtained no more than 12 months ago or are currently in preparation.
Potential employers actively participate in the selection process. During and after the end of the courses, candidates and companies participating in this project benefit from intensive support to improve the candidates' chances of finding a job. The close collaboration with the National Agency for Employment and Independent Work, ANETI, guarantees the integration of the project's activities into the public context of job searching and promotion. The courses begin in early June at 15 hours per week in Tunis for a period of 6 months. The application deadline is April 9, 2012.
This project, estimated at 8 million euros, started in early 2012 and will last two years. It is one of four projects of the "Pact for Employment in Tunisia" concluded between the German federal government and Tunisia. It is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office through Sequa GmbH and aims to improve the employment opportunities of young Tunisians through partnerships between German and Tunisian organizations.
