A Tunisian engineering school has signed several agreements with universities in Paris, Canada, and Houston. Students can thus obtain double diplomas. With no fewer than 8 specialties, ENSI is trying to meet the demands of the Tunisian ICT job market.
The National School of Computer Science (ENSI) in Tunis is known for being a springboard for future engineers in the job market. It is one of the few Tunisian engineering schools to have a student club (the Ensi Junior club) very involved in extracurricular activities. Each year, this club organizes an open house day dedicated to business creation and innovation in the IT sector. For the 5th year, several Tunisian companies, including Tunisian subsidiaries of multinationals, took part in this event.
It was also an opportunity to announce a multitude of new partnerships. These join the long list of collaborations that ENSI has concluded with several foreign universities as well as national and international companies. Among the latest, we can mention Talan, Microsoft, Sagemcom, Sunguard, and Telnet. Partnerships signed by ENSI have also been established with several major foreign universities and research labs in France, Canada, and the United States.
The very first agreement was signed with the Ecole Centrale de Lille. Thanks to this, ENSI students can now finish and deepen their studies in this French city. At the end of the course, they will be graduates of both schools. Another agreement was subsequently signed with Ecole Télécom Sud Paris, thanks to which 4 to 10 students will now join this prestigious school each year.
A third agreement was signed with the University of Houston in the United States. This focused on the exchange of professors between the two universities. For example, Mr. Ernst LEISS currently teaches cryptography and imaging at ENSI.
As for partnerships with companies, they have enriched ENSI's academic curriculum. The goal is to train future engineers according to the specific demands of companies. For example, there are financial engineering sections that already interest companies like HR access or Sunguard.
Another example of a new specialty that has emerged at ENSI thanks to recently signed collaborations: the creation of an imaging section for French labs and the CRISTAL laboratory. The latter is the first lab on the southern coast of the Mediterranean specializing in networks and imaging. Today, ENSI has no fewer than 8 sections that meet the demands of the job market in the ICT sector.
