The Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment is currently working on a national employment strategy, to be announced on December 17, 2012.
Based on recommendations from the national conference on employment, held June 28-30, 2012, this strategy, according to a press release issued Monday by the ministry, proposes major structural reforms to implement a new employment policy.
A group of experts has been tasked with developing this strategy, taking into account data related to the new development model and a new regional employment policy, as well as employment, the education and training system, labor relations, the reform of active employment programs, business structuring, and the informal sector.
Implementation of this strategy will span four years (2014-2017). It will take effect after the completion of the urgent employment promotion program at the end of 2013.
