The more time passes, the more we assert ourselves, the more we learn to know ourselves, to respect ourselves, to improve, to become the maximum version of ourselves, the best, the most efficient and serene.
But this takes time and a lot of patience is needed... Can we imagine some ways to accelerate the processes, to help ourselves, on the rocky path of self-improvement...? Yes, some clues can help and facilitate this progress.
Here are a few...
Walk slowly, but move forward!
Begin the journey with the following 5 questions and try to answer them simply, honestly, without unnecessary modesty, without ridiculous pretension:
What are my talents, my strengths, my abilities?
What are my human, relational, and professional qualities?
What actions bring me particular joy, give me strength?
What motivates me?
What demotivates me?
Question yourself, question your inner voice, the one that seems silent but influences so many of your decisions and choices, also ask others, question them. Their insights will make your task easier.
Don't be afraid to see yourself more beautiful than you are, fear only, and rather, becoming an ugly duckling, forgetting the swan within you!
Dive into the depths!
A few small guidelines may certainly lighten your burden on this somewhat arid path of doubt and questioning, of self-questioning and progress:
Trust yourself, look at yourself with benevolence and take the trouble to go to the end of your wishes to better answer. Try to become aware of the places where you censor yourself, where you castrate yourself, where you are afraid to go, for fear of failing... "
One should always aim for the moon, because even in case of failure one lands among the stars", wrote Oscar Wilde. This very pretty quote alone sums up the philosophy of personal development through action and for the realization of our goals. It gives us reason to dream, to aim high and to no longer be content with mediocre things, to have the courage to be and become what we are.
Work hard, with pleasure, with passion, one step at a time. Work is the key to opportunities: "I believe a great deal in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it", calmly affirmed Thomas Jefferson.
Improve yourself, slowly, sincerely, honestly, increase your value and you will see that success will come. If you only focus on success, you will forget to solidify and consolidate your foundations and you will not build on sound foundations.
Get involved, jump, fly into the whirlwind of action! Obstacles are masters of learning: They educate and, contrary to appearances, they elevate...
Cultivate your enthusiasm and optimism, change for joy. Think positive. "A problem without a solution is a problem poorly stated", affirmed Albert Einstein. Reconsider things. Look at them from a new angle. Change your look and your perception.
Dream a little about your life before putting things in place and living your dreams. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote that you must 'make your life a dream, and your dream a reality'....!
