An Austrian investor will create more than 1000 jobs in Gabes. A memorandum of understanding will be signed today between the Minister of Development and International Cooperation, Lamine Doghri, and the executive director of the Austrian investment group.
With an investment cost of 350 million euros, the project consists of creating a thermal village with a capacity of 5,000 people, including residences, medical centers, golf courses and green areas, Africanmanager reports.
Studies will begin right after the signing of the agreement and work will begin in 2014, over a period of 5 years. The project will offer nearly 1000 jobs during its construction phase and more than 1000 direct and indirect jobs (medical and tourism professionals) once operational.
