The area of its Berrechid factory has almost doubled. The workforce exceeds 100 people, many of whom are engineers. Eolane Maroc, a subsidiary of the French group of the same name specializing in the manufacture of electronic cards, does not seem to be suffering from the global economic crisis that has severely hit electronics equipment manufacturers and, by extension, their subcontractors over the past 12 months. Indeed, this entity, established in Berrechid since 2004, continued a sustained pace of investment in 2009, in order to meet a healthy order book, mainly fueled by the needs of its parent company in the production of small and medium series for the aeronautical and audio sectors. To boost its production capacity, the company inaugurated a new 1,800 m² building this summer, which was added to the original 2,300 m².
A technical and methods center will be created by the end of the year
In terms of industrial tools, the Moroccan subsidiary has invested in sophisticated on-site control and testing equipment with mobile probes of the APT 8 400 type. An environmentally friendly electronic card cleaning process has also been deployed to meet the requirements of the aeronautics sector's customers. Among Eolane Maroc's other development projects is the creation, by the end of 2009, of a technical and methods center and a procurement department to start purchasing components directly, an important step towards diversifying "low-cost" activities. This increase in capacity has naturally been accompanied by a significant recruitment effort. The workforce has just exceeded 100 people, many of whom are engineers. The Eolane group claims consolidated revenue of €147.5 million (nearly 1.7 billion DH) for the 2008 fiscal year and employs 1,300 people across a dozen subsidiaries.
