Bill to Regulate Job Market Intermediation

A bill to regulate job market intermediation A bill to regulate intermediation in the job market Employment agencies are currently the subject of a bill that was examined on October 19, 2010, by the Chamber of Deputies. This bill includes a number of provisions aimed at allowing private companies to seek job opportunities abroad for Tunisian candidates. These companies should, therefore, obtain authorization to carry out this activity, reports TAP.
Mohamed Nouri Jouini, Minister of Development and International Cooperation, stressed that the creation of these intermediation companies aims to support the national effort to meet the demands of the job market, and in particular additional demands. The granting of authorizations to the companies concerned, he adds, remains dependent on the guarantee of logistical and human resources and free services to candidates, who will receive all the necessary information about the employer, salary and social coverage.
Note that intermediation in the job market is still unregulated. The National Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT) remains the only officially recognized body for Tunisian executives wishing to work abroad. The adoption of the bill should give a boost to intermediation companies that already exist in the market.
