A framework agreement was signed on Friday, May 7, 2010, between the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Industry and Technology. This is part of the process of coordinating business creation procedures in the regions. Through this agreement, 24 programs will be developed for each governorate to train and support young entrepreneurs. These programs will be implemented jointly by business centers, business incubators, initiative spaces, and SME promotion units in the regions, aiming to coordinate the actions of each party.
This framework agreement follows the announcement of presidential measures on May 1, 2010, aimed at harmonizing the interventions of the support structures involved, in coordination with initiative spaces and business centers. The goal is to create a "Business House" in each governorate and support its activities at the regional and local levels, while bringing its services closer to potential project promoters. A regional commission will be formed in each governorate to implement the programs and coordinate actions.
According to Mr. Mohamed Agrebi, Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, the framework agreement will be followed by the signing of an agreement in June 2010 for the implementation of regional programs. These will culminate in the creation of a business house in each governorate.
