The Moroccan Foundation for Preschool Education (FMPS) embodies the unwavering commitment to the generalization of preschool education in Morocco.

Since 2019, our foundation has seen remarkable expansion, growing from a network of 350 to 22,000 preschool classes.

The Foundation operates on behalf of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and manages 70% of Moroccan public preschool education. We are committed to providing children aged 4 to 6 with the essential foundations for a quality educational journey.

Job :

Missions and activities of the position

• Ensure continuous scientific and pedagogical monitoring of research and innovations in early childhood.
• Actively participate in collaborative projects with the Foundation's entities to strengthen research-action and innovation in early childhood.
• Conduct in-depth and careful literature reviews, using relevant scientific references on early childhood topics, respecting citation standards and avoiding all forms of plagiarism.
• Design and implementation:

- Identify and formulate relevant research issues by combining data from the field and advances in scientific literature on early childhood (0-6 years).
- Develop appropriate research protocols, considering the specificities of early childhood.
- Collect and analyze qualitative and/or quantitative data (interviews with children, parents, educators; observations).

• Data analysis and interpretation:

- Analyze and evaluate, using empirical data and scientific research, the impact of various factors (family, social, educational), as well as pedagogical approaches, on the cognitive, emotional, and social development of the child.
- Analyze children's behaviors, interactions, and educational environments within the framework of observations and action research.

• Scientific production:

- Publish scientific articles and reports intended to enrich the body of knowledge on early childhood.
- Provide research-based recommendations to improve policies related to the education, health, and protection of young children.
- Participate in the drafting of quarterly and annual pedagogical publication reports.

• Participation and animation of conferences and scientific events:

- Participate in leading workshops, conferences, and round tables in the field of early childhood.
- Represent FMPS at international conferences and symposiums as well as seminars to share research findings.

• Management of pilot experimentation and evaluation projects:

- Study the effectiveness of educational and pedagogical innovation approaches.
- Develop study protocols and evaluation tools adapted to early childhood and the research projects implemented.
- Propose areas for improvement based on research results and experimentation.
 

Required profile :

• Hold a Master's degree, Bac+5 (5 years of higher education) in social sciences, educational sciences, or a related field (psychology, educational economics, sociology...).
• Enrolled in the 3rd year of a doctorate in educational sciences, psychology, sociology, or any other relevant field related to education.
• Experience in the field of early childhood is an asset.

Knowledge:

• Good command of theories and concepts related to child development, education, and psychology.
• In-depth knowledge of research methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed).
• Mastery of ethical rules and scientific integrity in writing and publishing research work.
• Strong ability to conduct meticulous and ethical observations in educational settings.
• Analysis of children's behaviors and interactions in their natural environment.
• Strong ability to develop evidence-based recommendations to improve educational practices and public policies.
