DECO WORLD LTD represents Ashley Furniture in Mauritius, the American furniture brand with over 80 years of expertise, having more than 1,100 Ashley stores and points of sale in over 150 countries, including Morocco.
Our Ashley showroom in Phoenix (Mauritius) offers furniture, bedding, and decor to a clientele of individuals, developers, and professionals. We also develop turnkey interior design projects with our brands Furniture.mu and Navy Studio.
We are looking for a passionate designer, ready to experience an international adventure on a tropical island and to grow their income through their results.
Job :
Based at the Ashley showroom in Phoenix, you will combine design and sales.
Design Component (approx. 50%)
- Advise clients on layout, choice of furniture, materials, and decor
- Create plans, mood boards, and 3D renderings (SketchUp, 3ds Max, AutoCAD…)
- Prepare complete proposals for houses, apartments, villas, and developer projects
Sales Component (approx. 50%)
- Welcome and assist showroom clients until the sale is concluded
- Prospect and develop your own client base: developers, architects, hotels, offices
- Prepare quotes, track orders, and build customer loyalty
- Average monthly target: around Rs 1,500,000 in sales, after one month of onboarding and training
What we offer
- Salary: Rs 50,000 gross per month (approx. 10,400 MAD), or Rs 600,000 per year, plus a 13th month
- Attractive commissions, with no ceiling: 2.5% on your showroom sales over Rs 500,000 excluding tax per month, and 5% on projects you bring in yourself. Example: for Rs 1,500,000 in sales, approx. Rs 37,500 commission in addition to salary
- Work permit (Occupational Permit) and one-way flight ticket covered by the company
- Airport welcome and assistance in finding accommodation (possible advance for deposit and first month's rent)
- Company vehicle for business trips; travel from home to showroom reimbursed at public transport rates
- One day off per week

Accommodation and food are the responsibility of the employee (approx. Rs 15,000 per month for an apartment, or approx. Rs 6,000 for a room in a shared apartment). Contract with a minimum commitment of 24 months.
Process: CV pre-selection, followed by an interview via WhatsApp call, in French or English.
Required profile :
- Associate's degree to Master's degree in interior architecture, space design, or decoration
- First experience in interior design and, ideally, in sales (showroom, furniture, decoration)
- A real passion for sales and customer interaction, a desire to exceed your goals, and good persuasion skills
- Proficiency in at least one 3D software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, AutoCAD; V-Ray or Lumion is a plus)
- Fluent French, English appreciated
- Autonomy, organizational skills, and neat presentation
- Available to relocate to Mauritius for at least 2 years
