The French Association for Mutual Aid and Charity (AFEB) of Rabat-Salé manages the Souissi Retirement Home in Rabat, an establishment dedicated to welcoming and supporting elderly people.

With a team of about forty employees, strengthened by a dozen temporary workers, the establishment hosts an average of 52 residents for a capacity of 57 beds. 70% of the residents are dependent (GIR 1 to 3). The team works every day to offer them attentive support, in a warm and caring environment.

Job :

The General Care Supervisor reports to the coordinating doctor, who ensures medical supervision and general coordination of care within the retirement home.

She works in close collaboration with the management of the establishment and ensures the daily coordination of the care teams, currently composed of three nurses and about twenty nursing assistants. The establishment also has a full-time physiotherapist and a part-time consultant physiotherapist, as well as a full-time psychologist and two activity leaders.

The main mission of the General Care Supervisor is to ensure that the care and support of residents are carried out regularly, in an organized, safe manner, and in compliance with good professional practices, and to quickly detect problematic situations. This role involves a real and regular presence with residents and teams, and is not limited to administrative work.

Main tasks:

• Supervise the quality and continuity of care.
• Monitor the work carried out by nurses and nursing assistants.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and instructions.
• Organize the daily work of the teams.
• Ensure a good distribution of tasks.
• Monitor the effective delivery of care.
• Improve the quality of reporting.
• Report any important information to the coordinating doctor.
• Collect and follow up on complaints from residents and families.
• Report incidents and adverse events.
• Participate in risk prevention.
• Identify staff training needs.
• Support professionals in difficulty.
• Contribute to maintaining good work discipline.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the quality of care.

Working hours are 44 hours per week. Except in exceptional cases giving rise to a bonus payment, there are no on-call duties.

Required profile :

Professional skills.

• Proven experience with the elderly; ideally experience in geriatrics or in a medico-social establishment (10 years as a nurse and/or head nurse).
• Good knowledge of care and support for the elderly.
