Electrical Engineer - High Voltage (HV) Substation Project Manager - Casablanca

We mainly work on electrification and electrical infrastructure projects, especially for Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical networks, electrical substations, and High Voltage (HV) facilities.

ICOMEL supports public and private clients and contracting authorities in carrying out their projects, from preparation and technical monitoring to the execution and commissioning of the installations.

Job :

Reporting to the Management, the HV Substation Project Manager is responsible for the technical, administrative, and operational management of High Voltage substation construction projects, from project preparation to acceptance.

Their main tasks will be:

• Analyze tender documents, specifications, drawings, and technical specifications related to HV substations;
• Participate in technical studies, cost estimation, and bid preparation;
• Prepare and organize project start-up: studies, schedule, human resources, equipment, and supplies;
• Manage and monitor the construction of HV substations and their various components;
• Coordinate studies, civil engineering work, electromechanical assembly, cabling, control-command, protection systems, and connections;
• Monitor suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams;
• Ensure compliance with technical, contractual, HSE, quality, cost, and deadline requirements;
• Serve as the technical liaison with clients, contracting authorities, design offices, inspection bodies, and various project stakeholders;
• Participate in site meetings and follow up on comments and reservations;
• Supervise testing, inspections, commissioning, and acceptance operations for the facilities;
• Manage the administrative and financial aspects of projects: progress reports, work certificates, final accounts, additional work, and invoicing follow-up;
• Prepare and manage provisional and final acceptance documentation and ensure that reservations are cleared.
 

Required profile :

• State engineer's degree or a Master's degree (Bac+5) in electrical engineering / electrical technology;
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience specifically in the field of High Voltage (HV) electrical substations;
• Proven experience in the construction, monitoring, and management of HV substation projects;
• Good technical command of HV electrical equipment and installations;
• Ability to manage the technical and operational aspects of projects, coordinate different stakeholders, and communicate with clients and contracting authorities.
