Of course, there are many things to avoid in an interview, but some are simply deal-breakers, excellent ways to immediately sabotage your chances.

1. Arriving late or running in, very breathless.
2. Ignoring the name of the person you are meeting.
3. Ignoring the role of the person you are meeting.
4. Ignoring the basics of the company you are applying to.
5. Not turning off your phone and/or answering during the interview.
6. Reading your texts.
7. Looking at and/or playing with your phone.
8. Playing with your hair and/or clothes.
9. Starting the interview by focusing on salary and/or negotiating.
10. Looking bored or sighing when you are questioned.
11. Showing annoyance and/or impatience.
12. Lacking self-confidence.
13. Having too much self-confidence.
14. Verbally repeating the terms from the Company's website to present your motivation or knowledge of the company.
