3 tips to bounce back after a period of unemployment

If the job market for sales profiles in the telecoms and internet sector is not the most catastrophic, a period of unemployment, more or less long, is not to be excluded between two positions. During this delicate period, the essential thing is to know how to bounce back as quickly and as well as possible. Here's how.

Do not remain inactive
During unemployment, the temptation is strong to give in to discouragement, especially when this period is prolonged a little too much. As much as possible, it is strongly recommended to keep office habits, starting and finishing the day at fixed hours. Your mission during this period: find a job.
It's up to you to mobilize your network in the telecoms and internet sector, to solicit recruitment agencies, to consult classified ads... In this sector of activity, it may also be interesting to take advantage of this period of inactivity to improve your visibility on the web, through a blog and updating your profiles on social networks.

Acknowledge it on your resume
A recruiter is not fooled: if you try to hide your unemployment, he will see it immediately and this strategy can backfire. It is better to be honest, even if it means showing a "gap" on the resume. Know that this is not insurmountable, because unfortunately inactivity for a few weeks or even a few months can happen to anyone.
If possible, try to fill this gap in professional activity with a period of activity worthy of interest for the recruiter: an associative or humanitarian commitment, work done on the Internet, foreign language courses, technical training...

Explain yourself in an interview
During the interview, the recruiter will surely want to know what led you to unemployment: end of contract, resignation, economic or personal dismissal... In advance, it is up to you to prepare an argued answer to this question that will inevitably be asked.
Perhaps you deliberately chose to be unemployed to question yourself? Or perhaps you wanted to complete your training? If it's against your will, don't play the bitter! Pessimistic speeches like "it's the crisis, nobody's hiring", that won't please the recruiter. What he is looking for are dynamic, motivated candidates who know how to fight against adversity. It's up to you to prove that you belong in this category.
