3,380 Tunisian Cooperators Recruited in 2014

The Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT) reported the recruitment of nearly 3,380 Tunisian cooperators in 2014, including 45 new job seekers, according to a press release published Friday.
Education, teaching, and sports took first place with 1,530 recruits, followed by the health sector with 651 doctors and paramedical professionals. Engineers came in third with 348 recruits, and commerce and marketing with 260 recruits.
Arab countries remained in first place in terms of recruitment of Tunisian skills (82%), with Saudi Arabia leading the way, followed by Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
During this year, 78 recruitment commissions came to Tunisia to conduct interviews with Tunisian candidates. ATCT services received 208 job offers in 2014.
As part of bilateral and triangular cooperation, 31 Tunisian experts carried out technical assistance missions in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Nigeria, Djibouti, Mauritania, the Sultanate of Oman, and Niger.
The ATCT also organized 14 training sessions in Tunisia for 209 executives from 52 African, Arab, and Asian countries on various topics (taxation, automotive mechanics, health, environment, water resource management, energy...).
More than 16,000 Tunisian cooperators and experts work abroad. The number of applications submitted to the ATCT exceeds 25,000 candidates.
